Russia will join Kazakhstan in conducting missile defense exercises, RIA Novosti reports. Lt. Gen. Israel is working on a computerized system designed to predict where a missile will land shortly after launch, reports Israel News. The system will allow the country’s Home Front Command to get people to shelters in a smaller, as opposed to larger, area. The hoped-for result is that a smaller number of people will be ordered to shelters, as the rest get on with normal activities. Military alert districts are divided into 10; after the system is in place, there will be 100 districts. An excerpt:

“In light of the army’s assessment that any future war will include sustained missile attacks, bolstering Israelis’ ability to live with such attacks was considered essential.” (Israel News)
